Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This policy covers the Meme Media Soundbox app for Windows (from our website or the Microsoft Store) and the website memesoundbox.app. "We" means the developer, iNoName.

1. The app

Stored only on your PC. Your memes, keywords, hotkeys, volume levels, device choices, thumbnails and settings are saved in the app's folder on your computer (for the Microsoft Store version: %APPDATA%\MemeSoundboard). We never receive them.

Microphone. When you turn on call mixing, the app passes your microphone audio live to the audio device you choose, so people on your call hear your voice together with the memes. The audio is not recorded, stored or sent over the internet. You can switch microphone access off at any time in Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.

Licence check (Pro only). When you enter a Pro licence key, the app sends it to the store you bought it from so it can be confirmed:

The app stores the result on your PC together with a short one-way code derived from your computer's name. That code never leaves your PC; it only stops the Pro unlock from being copied to another computer.

Update check (website version only). The version downloaded from our site checks memesoundbox.app/downloads/version.json for a newer version. Like any web request, this shares your IP address and the app's version number with our web host. The Microsoft Store version does not do this; the Store handles its updates.

Nothing else. The app has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or user accounts.

2. Purchases

Pro licences are sold through Lemon Squeezy and Gumroad. They process your payment under their own privacy policies; we never see your card details.

After a purchase we receive the order details they share with sellers: your name, email address, country, the product, the price and the licence key. We use these only to deliver and support your licence, handle refunds, and keep sales records required for tax. We don't sell this information or use it for marketing without your consent.

3. The website

4. Microsoft Store

If you install the app from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, installation and updates under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We may see anonymous, aggregated statistics from Microsoft, such as install counts and crash totals.

5. Keeping and deleting your data

6. Children

The app and site are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
